WHAT: UMPS CARE Charities Golf Marathon.  Join  Major League and Minor League Baseball Umpires to raise money for a wonderful cause and then play 100 holes of golf in one day.  Making a difference in the lives of children has never been so much fun! 

WHEN: Monday, November 14, 2011 beginning at 8:00AM.  

 

WHERE: The Augusta Ranch Golf Course in Mesa, AZ.  Augusta Ranch Golf Club is an 18-hole, 3800 yard, par 61 golf course renowned for exceptional playing conditions, friendly service and challenging layout. 

 

WHY: This exclusive event raises funds for the UMPS CARE Charities children's hospital program, youth ticket program, and family care programs.  

HOW: Each participant encourages family, friends, sports officials and business contacts to pledge financial support by way of a “per-hole” sponsorship.   UMPS CARE Charities provides support to help you reach your goal – including a personal Web page that allows people to make credit-card donations and access to a fundraising kit of materials to assist in the fundraising effort (sample e-mails, letters, etc.).

GOLFER FUNDRAISING COMMITMENT: MLB Umpires and Friends of UMPS CARE Charities are asked to raise a minimum of $2,500 in pledges by October 1 for our all-inclusive benefits package. MiLB Umpires are asked to raise a minimum of $2,000 in pledges by October 1 for our all-inclusive benefits package.

$1,000 Level – 100 holes of golf, goody bag, on-course food/beverages, post-event dinner for you.

$1,500 Level – two-night hotel stay, van shuttle to/from course, 100 holes of golf, goody bag, on-course food/beverages, post-event dinner for you.

$2,000 Level (only current Minor League Baseball Umpires are eligible for this level) – airfare reimbursement, two-night hotel stay, van shuttle to/from course, 100 holes of golf, goody bag, on-course food/beverages, post-event dinner for you.

$2,500 Level – airfare reimbursement, two-night hotel stay, van shuttle to/from course, 100 holes of golf, goody bag, on-course food/beverages, post-event dinner for you and one guest.
