Minor League umpires are taking time out during their busy Spring Training season to give back to UMPS CARE Charities, and we cannot thank them enough!
In Florida and Arizona, umpires are setting up bowling fundraisers to support our UMPS CARE programs. The umpires will have two bowling tournaments in Florida, one on the East Coast and one on the West Coast on March 16, and umpires in Arizona will be bowling on March 18.
Because of the success UMPS CARE Charities has had at the Major League Baseball level and because of the dedication from our Minor League umpires, we are able to expand our programs to all 30 Triple-A markets this season.
Baseball is about making contact – and UMPS CARE is about making a connection with the community.
The BLUE Crew Ticket program offers memorable experiences and opportunities to connect children awaiting adoption, at-risk youth in mentoring programs, children in foster care, kids battling chronic illnesses and military families through the game of baseball. Thanks to this program, kids and families enjoy a great day at the ballpark with a meet-and-greet session with the umpires, on-the-field photos and goody bags filled with baseball snacks. Of course, we provide great tickets to the game, too!
You can play a role in supporting the Minor League umpires and UMPS CARE!
Thanks in advance for your support – let’s get things rolling!
