We have been following the recent events regarding the novel coronavirus closely, and in alignment with Major League Baseball, we have decided it is in the best interest of the health and wellness of our UMPS CARE community to postpone our bowling tournament in memory of MLB umpire Eric Cooper.

For the past several months, veteran MLB umpire Mike Everitt and his wife, Michelle, have been working hard to make this event such a success, and all of us at UMPS CARE have been absolutely blown away by the support we have received from the Des Moines community. You guys really showed how much love there is for the Cooper family, and we truly felt it miles away.

That aside, we have to take into consideration everyone’s health first. It might be an overreaction, but we would rather be extra cautious than not cautious enough.

We will notify you of our upcoming plans for this event – IT WILL HAPPEN WE JUST DON’T KNOW WHEN YET – and we know it will be a huge success! Please feel free to contact UMPS CARE Charities Executive Director, Jennifer Skolochenko-Platt at jenn@umpscare.com with any questions, concerns or would like to request a ticket refund.

We hope that everyone stays healthy and gets their bowling game into top shape once we have a new date for this event.

Please keep checking UmpsCare.com and our social media platforms for updates.
