Back in October, Major League Baseball Umpire Chris Segal and Call-Up Umpire Brennan Miller hosted the UMPS CARE Charities East Coast Classic to raise funds to deliver Build-A-Bear joy to kids undegroing medical treatment in the hospital.

Today, Chris and Brennan, along with Call-Up Umpire Ryan Wills, got to make good on their promise.

They took time out today to deliver 100 Build-A-Bear stuffed toys, outfits, baseball-themed activity books and more to sick children at Children’s National Hospital in Washington, D.C.

With the delivery today, UMPS CARE has now handed out 19,640 Build-A-Bear stuffed toys to children in hospitals across the country and in Canada!

HUGE thanks to everyone who participated in the East Coast Classic, whether it was as a golfer, volunteer or sponsor, you all played a key role in creating smiles for kids today!

Special thanks to Jennifer Powell and Kayli Michels of Right Fit Realty for stuffing the goody bags for the kids for this event, and we also want to thank our longtime partners at Bristol Myers Squibb for their financial support for our hospital program.

If you would like to help us continue to make these kinds of memories for kids, please consider donating to our 100 Bears For The Holidays campaign. All donations will be matched, dollar for dollar, up to $10,000 thanks to the Arby’s Foundation!
