Major League Baseball (MLB) umpires are offering up close to 250 items including priceless, autographed sports memorabilia, rarely available specialty MLB logo caps and one-of-a-kind experiences during the 13th Annual UMPS CARE Charities Online Auction. The auction, hosted on MLB.com, is ready for bids now through Monday, September 20 at 10 p.m. EDT.  The auction can be found HERE

The auction features signed baseballs from Hall of Famers Joe Torre and Cal Ripken Jr., legendary Dodgers broadcaster Vin Scully, and current stars Miguel Cabrera, Shohei Ohtani and Trevor Story, and, of course, MLB umpires!

Also up for bid is an archives tour of the National Baseball Hall of Fame – complete with a round of golf and dinner – tickets to the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum, hard-to-find bobbleheads, and handcrafted wallets made from vintage baseball gloves.  Great UMPS CARE Charities logo apparel, featuring our signature baseball heart—and even some new looks and designs—is available to show your support for our programs and our cause.

“The UMPS CARE Charities online auction is a fantastic event for baseball fans but it’s also a tremendous way to give back to the community,” said UMPS CARE Charities President Gary Darling, who served as a Major League Baseball Umpire for nearly three decades. “This is one of the largest fundraisers of the year, and it helps us continue our popular hospital program, complete with Build-A-Bear® Workshop furry friends, on-the-field visits, umpire and leadership training for teens and college scholarships for children adopted later in life.

“The UMPS CARE Charities online auction is truly a win-win,” Darling added. “We are grateful for the support from Major League Baseball for this annual fundraiser.”
