We are rounding third and heading home with our #Coop56Challenge – join this special campaign in memory of a special man NOW!

As a way to continue the legacy of MLB Umpire #56 Eric Cooper, who passed away one year ago, and with the blessing of his family, UMPS CARE Charities created the #Coop56Challenge.

Shortly before “Coop” passed away, he was busy fundraising to support our All-Star College Scholarship program. UMPS CARE Charities provides one recipient with $10,000 per year for four years toward his or her college education. These young adults have all faced emotional and financial hardships as children who were adopted later in life, and this program truly has been life changing.

We need your help to finish what Coop started.

We are asking you to challenge yourself, your family and friends to walk/run/hike/bike in support our All-Star College Scholarship in memory of Coop, who proudly wore MLB uniform number 56.

The beauty of this VIRTUAL event is that you can set your own challenge – walk 5,600 steps, run 5.6K, jog 5.6 miles, eat 56 bags of M&M’s.

So rally your friends, create your challenge and set your fundraising goal!

Share photos and videos from your #Coop56Challenge! Finish fundraising by October 28, 2020, which would be Game 7.
