"Official Charity of Major League Baseball Umpires"

UmpsCare was initially established in 2005 to assist retired umpires and their families who may have fallen on hard times.

Since that time, both active and retired Major League umpires, along with the business community, have pooled resources to benefit many other organizations including, the JIMMY V Foundation, Eric Gregg Foundation and Baseball Assistance Team (BAT).

As we continue to grow, UmpsCare remains dedicated to our creed,

“Helping people is an easy call”

As part of the 2007 All Star Festivities Taco Bell sponsored a Home Run Challenge.  Taco Bell paid the umpires for their skills to umpire the Home Run Challenge.  Each of the umpires decided to donate their money to UmpsCare.

As a result of their efforts the 2007 All Star Umpiring Crew was able to donate $5,000 to UmpsCare.
