Covering The Bases Community Grant Program

UMPS CARE Charities is dedicated to helping 501 (c) 3 organizations that directly support under-served individuals in the baseball and softball communities through the avenue of officiating. Sports strengthen the fabric of our communities and umpiring can offer an avenue for Community Development, Youth Development, Economic Development and Athletic Development. Apply for a mini-grant ($250-$1500) to support baseball/softball umpires and their training and equipment.

UMPS CARE Charities receives several requests for community grants, and we wish we could support all of them. When a request is denied, it does not imply that the applicant’s program is not vital or valued. It may be that the request does not fall within our giving guidelines or focus areas, or that all charitable funds for the year have been allocated.

Grant applications are reviewed three times per year, deadlines listed below.
Session 1: Deadline – March 31 *Grant awarded in April
Session 2: Deadline – July 31 *Grant awarded in August
Session 3: Deadline – November 30 *Grant awarded in December
