Retired Major League Baseball umpire Sam Holbrook with MLB umpire and East Coast Classic host, Brennan Miller

The third annual UMPS CARE Charities East Coast Classic was a huge success!

We had Major League Baseball Umpires on hand, a tremendous crowd and even a gorgeous day of sunshine all day long at the Westfields Golf Club for a wonderful event!

Proceeds from the event will support UMPS CARE Charities and the delivery of 100 Build-A-Bear furry friends and outfits to kids undergoing treatment at Children’s National Hospital in Washington, D.C., on October 26.

The event was hosted once again by MLB umpires Brennan Miller and MLB Umpire Chris Segal and featured retired MLB umpire Sam Holbrook as the event’s honorary guest.

“UMPS CARE is important to both of us because we want to make a difference in the community,” Brennan Miller said. “Chris and I feel fortunate that we can use baseball and umpiring to give back.”

Special thanks to our many sponsors who made this event possible:

Samantha & Taylor Pepple and family, Ump Attire, Right Fit Realty, Deloitte, CARTA Global Logistics, Fab Ventures Group, Glory Days Grill, Wagging Warriors, Ump Life, Shelton Little League Connecticut District 3, Nats Chat Podcast, Purchase Officials, Rob and Shelly Porter, Kendra Scott Georgetown, Wegman’s Fairfax, Duck Donuts Chantilly and Gary and Cheri Darling.

Thanks also to Charlyne and Mark Miller for their continued support for UMPS CARE and our many volunteers who worked tirelessly to make this event so great!
